What is firewood?
Garrett Tree Service sells firewood cut from the trees we remove around Colorado Springs. Wood is sold by the cord in four categories — pine, mixed, regional hardwood, and fine hardwood, plus oak — cut to about 16 inches and dumped where you want it. Delivery has a 1 cord minimum.
Because the wood comes from our own removals in El Paso County, nothing gets trucked in from out of state and nothing goes to waste. Wood is grouped by category rather than sorted species by species, so you pick the burn you want — pine for fire pits and shoulder season, regional hardwood or fine hardwood for a stove that has to hold heat. We do our best to deliver seasoned wood, but seasoning is not guaranteed at delivery and the length of time wood has been seasoned varies.

Cut to standard length
All wood is cut to about 16 inches. We don't do custom lengths.

Delivery scheduled
1 cord minimum for delivery. We confirm a window and you tell us exactly where the load goes. Scheduled deliveries may be adjusted due to weather or road conditions.

Dumped where you point
The load is dumped at the spot you choose. Stacking isn't included, but we may be able to stack for an additional fee depending on where it needs to go — just ask when you order.
What affects the cost of firewood?
We quote a fixed scope in writing after seeing the tree. These are the factors that move the number up or down.
